COURT REMANDS EBONYI LAWYER OVER ALLEGED CYBERBULLYING, DEFAMATION AGAINST REP MEMBER, HON. CHINEDU OGAH

COURT REMANDS EBONYI LAWYER OVER ALLEGED CYBERBULLYING, DEFAMATION AGAINST REP MEMBER, HON. CHINEDU OGAH

An Ebonyi Magistrate Court sitting in Abakaliki, has remanded a 43-year-old lawyer Igwe Nwali Johnson in correctional centre over allegations of cyberbullying and defamation against Hon. Chinedu Ogah, member of the House of Representatives, representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency.

The charges, filed under case number MAB/616C/2025 by the Ebonyi State Commissioner of Police, alleged that Johnson, along with an unidentified co-accused, conspired in October 2025 to commit criminal acts through cyberbullying.

The prosecution, led by Barrister Eze Chinagorom Ndubuisi of the Directorate of Legal Services, Police Headquarters, Abakaliki, accused Johnson of conspiring to commit cyberbullying, an offence under Section 516A(a) of the Criminal Code, Cap 33 Vol. 1, Laws of Ebonyi State, 2009.

He further alleged that Johnson transmitted a live Facebook broadcast via the account of Amarachi Nweke, which purportedly placed Ogah in fear of death, violence, and bodily harm, contrary to Section 24(2)(a) of the Cyber Crimes (Prohibition and Prevention) Act 2015, as amended.

The prosecution also accused Johnson of broadcasting content intended to damage Ogah’s reputation by falsely accusing him of a crime, in violation of Section 24(2)(c) of the same Act.

During proceedings, Johnson’s counsel, Barrister Kelvin Nwafor, requested that the case be transferred to the Federal High Court, arguing that the magistrate court lacked jurisdiction. He also sought bail for his client.

The Magistrate, Sandra Oyibe, emphasized the constitutional protections governing remand proceedings, noting that while bail could be considered, the ongoing remand must continue.

The court adjourned the case to 22nd December 2025 for further hearing of the bail application.

CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE IS A PROJECT BY ISLAMIST EXTREMISTS; NOT A COINCIDENCE,SAYS OHANAEZE YOUTH PRESIDENT, COMRADE IGBOAYAKA

Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka, National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council, the apex sociopolitical youth organization of the Igbo Race Worldwide, has described the ongoing Christian Genocide and other related violence as a well-calculated jihadist war by Islamist extremists within and outside Nigeria.

Comrade Igboayaka shared his perspective on Sunday 30th November 2025, during a press interview with Radio France International, anchored by Christina Okello, a distinguished international journalist, stating that Christian killings cannot be effectively addressed without a campaign for referendum in Nigeria and its actualization.

Comrade Igboayaka has revealed that the killings of Christians in Nigeria is the fulfillment of Usman Dan Fodio’s prophecy ( Deepening the Koran in Sea) of spreading Islamic influence throughout the region, which he described is a project of conquest, ethnic cleansing, and religious annihilation against Christians in Nigeria.

“The only viable long-term solution or antidote to stop the decades-long Islamic agenda against Christians in Nigeria is the expedited conduct of a referendum to allow Nigerians to redefine coexistence within the Nigerian federation” Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka revealed.

Widespread killings are occurring across the Country, involving diverse tactics. In the southeast, Christian killings have taken on a dimension focused with pretence on dislodging the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), a self-determination group led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, while the real intention is Christian with Nigeria troops.

Under the late former president Mohammadu Buhari Christian killings were coded with”Operation Python Dance” terrorists were sponsored in Southeast all in a desperate attempt to demonize Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB). Fulani herdsmen and Bandits were killing farmers and invading villages and arsonists coordinated attacks on Christians in Southeast.

In the SouthWestern Nigeria, churches were targeted, Fulani Herdsmen and Bandits are ravaging communities and killing people. In the middle Belt, it us feast of blood as the massacre of Christian became a daily routine.
Nigeria is already a failed state under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigeria government is observing the killings of Christians like football admires watching the Premier league.

Comrade Igboayaka cautioned that a referendum in Nigeria is the only viable solution to stop the killings of Christians in Nigeria, which have persisted during the tenure of President Mohammadu Buhari and worsen vat this tyrannical rulership of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Shettima, who are Muslims, and therefore, Christian communities in Southern Nigeria and Northern Nigeria must rise and demand a referendum or else Nigeria will remain in a state of bloodshed.

AJM NEWS

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, last week, opposed an application filed by former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello, seeking leave of court to travel abroad to the United Kingdom for medical treatment.

The application was presented before Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja, during the resumed hearing of Bello’s alleged ₦80.2 billion money laundering trial. His counsel, J.B. Daudu, SAN, urged the court to consider the defendant’s health condition as paramount and to grant him permission to travel.

Daudu informed the court that the application was brought pursuant to Section 173(2)(a) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction. He said the application was backed by a 22-paragraph affidavit deposed to by the defendant himself, including annexures such as a medical report and a letter from a consultant cardiologist.

He further argued that Bello had not travelled outside Nigeria in over eight years and now required urgent medical attention which, according to him, cannot be provided even in the hospital he built. “The subject of this application is the release of his passport, which was surrendered as part of his bail conditions. What should be considered is not whether there are alternatives in Nigeria but whether the defendant poses a flight risk,” he said.

He also claimed that the defendant has no criminal record abroad and may not pose a flight risk. “He has no criminal record in those countries. The defendant is not a flight risk and will return before the end of August. My lord can even specify a return date,” he said.

However, prosecuting counsel, Kemi Pinheiro, SAN, strongly objected to the application, describing it as an abuse of court process. He argued that Bello had previously filed similar applications before another court, the current court and the FCT High Court, seeking the same relief, which he said was improper and confusing.

Pinheiro advanced five main reasons the application should be denied. First, he said the motion was “technically incompetent” as the sureties to Bello’s bail were not informed or included in the application, thereby raising questions about their liability if the defendant fails to return.

He also emphasized that the case involved money laundering, and money laundering is international in nature, referencing charges related to properties in Dubai and funds in bank accounts in the US and UK. “The defendant is already under a red notice and international alert. He risks being arrested abroad and extradited. He could be ‘Hushpuppied’ from Dubai,” Pinheiro warned, alluding to a known cybercrime case.

The prosecution further discredited the medical report submitted by the defence, noting that the doctor who signed it failed to indicate his qualifications or specialization. He argued that the health concerns mentioned, such as low potassium and mild hypertension, could be managed locally.
“…And what are we talking about here? Low potassium? Mild hypertension? Those can be handled in any Nigerian hospital. If he needs potassium, let him eat banana and pawpaw…”
This is not sufficient reason to fly to the UK,” he said.

He also pointed out the irony that Bello had boasted during his tenure of building a world-class hospital in Kogi State.
“From Abuja to Lokoja is two hours. I advise him to visit that hospital rather than take a six-hour flight abroad,” he said.

In his reply on points of law, Daudu insisted that the sureties were not required to be parties to the motion and argued that the red notice previously issued by EFCC had lapsed following Bello’s arraignment in Nigeria. He urged the court to exercise its discretion in favour of the defendant.

Justice Emeka Nwite is expected to rule on the application at a later adjourned date.

ABIA GOVERNMENT CONFIRMS HERDSMEN ATTACK IN UMUNNEOCHI COMMUNITY WITH SEVERAL RESIDENTS FEARED KILLED, AS HERDSMEN ALSO INVADE ENUGU, KILL SCORES

ABIA GOVERNMENT CONFIRMS HERDSMEN ATTACK IN UMUNNEOCHI COMMUNITY WITH SEVERAL RESIDENTS FEARED KILLED, AS HERDSMEN ALSO INVADE ENUGU, KILL SCORES

Herdsmen Attack Community

The Abia State government has confirmed an attack by armed herdsmen in the Umunneochi local government area, resulting in several fatalities.

The state Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, who was silent on the casualty figures, disclosed this while addressing journalists at the Government House in Umuahia on Monday.

“There have been some security breaches in the Umunneochi area of the state, leading to some fatalities,” Kanu said, adding that the state security agencies had been put on full alert to address the security issue.

He assured that the state government would not leave any stone unturned in activating its entire security architecture to tackle the problem.

This incident is reminiscent of similar attacks experienced in neighbouring Enugu State, where suspected Fulani herdsmen have been wreaking havoc on communities.

In a recent attack in Agu-Amed Autonomous community in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzu local government area of Enugu State, at least seven residents were killed, and two others are still missing.

The attack, which occurred on Sunday around 4:30pm, has left residents in shock and fear.

According to eyewitnesses, the assailants were dropped from helicopters that also hovered over the community until after the attack.

“Currently, there’s uncertainty in my community. Armed Fulani herdsmen invaded Agu-Amed Autonomous Community on Sunday evening. They killed seven people; we have recovered their bodies in a savagery manner and two are still missing,” a resident, Osita Ogenyi, said.

The attack has reignited concerns about the security situation in Enugu State and the need for urgent action to address the farmer-herder crisis. Community leaders have expressed frustration and anger, lamenting the government’s inability to prevent these attacks or engage the assailants.

“This attack was a surprise one. They invaded the community around 5 pm and they didn’t shoot their guns initially. They were slaughtering people with machetes until when people got the information, they started shooting. Before you know it, they disappeared,” Ogenyi added.

The recent attack comes barely three months after women from seven autonomous communities in Eha-Amufu protested incessant attacks by Fulani herdsmen.

According to reports, at least 152 persons have been killed by Fulani herdsmen in Eha-Amufu between 2021 and March 2025, with the recent killings increasing the tally to 163.

In Abia State, the government has vowed to take decisive action to address the security breaches and prevent further incidents.

The development comes amid ongoing tensions between farmers and herders in the region, with some communities accusing the herders of destroying their farmlands and crops.

The Abia State government has faced criticism over its handling of security issues, with some communities demanding greater protection from the authorities. The government must take concrete actions to prevent further attacks and protect the lives of the people.

The situation in both Abia and Enugu states highlights the need for urgent action to address the farmer-herder crisis and ensure the security of communities.

SATIRICAL APOLOGY LETTER FROM NATASHA TO AKPABIO

I Earned My Seat In The Senate Through Elections, Not Erections, Says Natasha In Her Sarcastic, Satirical Apology Letter To Senator Akpabio

Senator Natasha

AJM NEWS

SATIRICAL APOLOGY LETTER

From the Desk of Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan

Dear Distinguished Senate President Godswill Akpabio,

It is with the deepest sarcasm and utmost theatrical regret that I tender this apology for the grievous crime of possessing dignity and self-respect in your most exalted presence. I have reflected extensively on my unforgivable failure to recognize that legislative success in certain quarters is apparently not earned through merit, but through the ancient art of compliance — of the very personal kind.

How remiss of me not to understand that my refusal to indulge your… “requests” was not merely a personal choice, but a constitutional violation of the unwritten laws of certain men’s entitlement. Truly, I must apologize for prioritizing competence over capitulation, vision over vanity, and the people’s mandate over private dinners behind closed doors.

I now realize the catastrophic consequences of my actions: legislation delayed, tempers flared, and the tragic bruising of egos so large they require their own postcodes. For this disruption to the natural order of “quid pro quo,” I bow my head in fictional shame.

Please find it in your magnanimous heart — somewhere buried deep beneath layers of entitlement — to forgive this stubborn woman who mistakenly believed that her seat in the Senate was earned through elections, not erections.

I remain,
Yours in eternal resistance,
Senator Natasha H Akpoti Uduaghan
Unafraid, Unbought, and Unbroken
