WINNERS OF PDP PRIMARIES FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS IN EBONYI:

The primary elections of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ebonyi State chapter which was conducted by the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC) on August 1, 2020, for the forthcoming council elections in the state has come to an end.
During the primaries, 13 candidates emerged victorious and were announced as the party’s flag bearers for chairmanship position in the August 29 local government elections in Ebonyi State.
AJM NEWS correspondent was rightly informed that out of the 13 successful candidates in the primaries, 4 were newly elected; that is for Afikpo North, Ezza South, Ikwo and Ivo Local Government Areas, while 9 former Chairmen were returned for a 2nd term.
It is also good to note that the primaries saw the emergence of 4 women; Hon. Mrs Obiageri Oko Enyim, Hon. Mrs Nora Oluchi Aloh, Hon. Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga and Hon. Mrs Chinyere Iyioku as the party’s candidates in Afikpo North, Ezza North, Ebonyi and Ohaozara Local Government Areas, respectively.
