SENATOR BEN MURRAY-BRUCE SIGNS AN ACCORD WITH EBONYI GOVERNMENT TO ESTABLISH CINEMA CENTRES IN THE STATE

The founder and President of SILVERBIRD Group, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has signed a pact with Ebonyi State government to establish SILVERBIRD CINEMAS in the state.
The signing of the pact which took place at the Ecumenical Centre in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, during a Business Forum Summit on Tuesday, also had in attendance so many chief executives of business conglomerates and economic stakeholders across the country.
Silverbird Cinema is a movie theatre, which revolutionalized cinema in Nigeria, and which pioneered the first five-screens Cineplex
in sub-Saharan Africa.
Presently, Silverbird Cinema has over 50 screens in Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Uyo and Ghana.
According to Sen. Ben Bruce, Silverbird Entertainment Group will establish cinema outlets in Ebonyi by
December 2020 to meet the demands of the anticipated Christmas ‘crowd’.
His words: “Silverbird Entertainment will install cinema screens of 100×75, 100×35 seaters at the Ebonyi International Shopping Mall.
“We intend to bring ‘box to boxes’ around the world to Abakaliki as we are the pioneer of modern cinema services in Nigeria with reach
across Liberia, Ghana among others.
“We have also reserved the biggest edifice at the state’s Centenary city Abakaliki for the Silicon University which complies with vision of the computer village businessmen.
“Ebonyi is a state of about three million people with 70 per cent of the population being of youthful age which effectively drives the economy of any given society”.
