A non-governmental organization, THE KEL ELEJE FOUNDATION (KEF) has put smiles on the faces of 20 indigent women in Ozizza Community, Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, by giving financial assistance to them.
THE KEL ELEJE FOUNDATION is an international NGO whose aim is to lift and assist widows and indigent women who have existing businesses and also startups in Ozizza community and beyond, to improve their business so as to ameliorate their living conditions.
Inline with its vision, the FOUNDATION, which is also a non-profit making organization gave the sum of Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000) to each of the 20 women drawn from Ozizza and beyond, as a way of empowering them in the various businesses.
The beneficiaries who could not hold their joy, lauded The KEL ELEJE FOUNDATION for the kind gesture shown to them, as they also promised to make judicious use of the money.
As if that wasn’t enough, The KEL ELEJE FOUNDATION which has B. Kel Eleje as the Executive Director and Chief (Arc) Edward Eleje as the Director of international operations, has also gone a step further to award immediate scholarships to 20 students of Ozizza community.
AJM NEWS gathered that the 20 benefitting students picked by the NGO, who are within the classes of JSS1 to JSS3, are those whose parents or guardians have difficulty in paying their tuition.
They are to enjoy the foundation’s scholarship programme up to graduation from SSS3.
