The family of Susan Oleghe, the young lady that was electrocuted on Saturday at the popular Hustle and Bustle Nightclub, Abuja owned by Mr. Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana), has vowed to drag Cubana and the management of the club to court.

According to the family, they are making necessary arrangements to meet the owners and management of the club in court to claim damages for criminal negligence, which led to the untimely death of their daughter, Susan.

The family said:
“We won’t be leaving any stone unturned as we plan to face the management of the nightclub with every legal option available”.

Susan was said to have accidentally touched a metal door, as glimpsed from a replay of the club’s CCTV, and was instantly electrocuted.

A family member revealed that Susan and her colleagues were about leaving the club when she tripped by a floor that doesn’t look well laid. She then fell on a metal rod which has high voltage wires for lightnings and covered with metal for aesthetics, and she was electrocuted.

The family also maintained that the deceased was neither tipsy nor drunk.

“Even if she was tipsy and fell inside the club, was she supposed to get electrocuted?”, the family asked.

Oleghe’s family further stated that the club’s management were not bothered by the incident at first, as they were already putting up a billboard for a party they planned to host.

It was not until security personnel arrived the club premises and shut it down before they acknowledged the magnitude of the problem.

The late Susan was the CEO of Korporate_Legz, selling online an assortment of footwears, from sandals to designer shoes to men and women, who could afford her prices.

Meanwhile, the management of Hustle and Bustle had annouced the closure of the club till further notice, following the death of Susan.

The club wrote on their Instagram handle:
“We are closed till further notice. This is due to the loss of our esteemed client.

“We are deeply saddened by this situation and need time to heal from it. Our prayers are with the families of the lost soul. May her soul Rest In Peace.

“We sympathise with the family on this unbearable loss.

“Kindly bear with us as we pass through this storm.”
