From What Transpired Last Night When Some Part Of The Popular Eke Market In Afikpo North Local Government Area Of Ebonyi State Was Engulfed By Fire, It’s Glaringly Obvious, And Quite Disappointing And Disheartening That The Fire Service Station In Afikpo Is As Useless As The EEDC.
Of What Use Are These Agencies To Afikpo And The Inhabitants, If They Cannot Render The Expected Services To The People, Which They Are Employed And Paid For?

During The Fire Outbreak, The Men Of The Fire Service Could Not Do Anything To Salvage The Situation, Because According To Them “Their Primer Isn’t In Good Condition”.
Infact, This Unreasonable Response And Callousness Exhibited Last Night By The Staff Of The Fire Service Station In Afikpo Should Be A Thing Of Concern To Our People.
If I May Ask, Whose Duty Is It To Fix The Damaged Primer?
And, Must The Men Of The Fire Service Wait Till There’s A Fire Outbreak Before They’d Remember To Fix Or Replace Their Damaged And Outdated Equipments?

Thanks To The Youths Of Afikpo Who Gallantly Fought The Fire 🔥 To A STOP, Without Listening To The Cock And Bull Stories And Excuses Given By The Fake Fire Service Men On Federal Government Payroll.
Big KUDOS To Afikpo Youths! If Not For These Youths, The Fire Could Have Spread To Other Parts Of The Market With Unimaginable Disaster.
It’s Also About Time We Stop Paying “Fire Service Levy” In Afikpo, Until We See The Usefulness Of The Ones Paid Previously!

Finally, The State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) In Ebonyi, And Other Concerned Nigerians Should Come To The Aid Of The Traders Affected By Yesterday’s Fire Outbreak In Afikpo.
