SISTER LEAH SHARIBU DELIVERS HER SECOND BABY IN THE HANDS OF BOKO HARAM BANDITS
AJM NEWS
The only remaining Dapchi school girl abducted by Boko Haram insurgents, Leah Sharibu has reportedly given birth to another child, this time the second baby.
Leah Sharibu, a young Christian girl whom the Boko Haram bandits refused to release after freeing several other Moslem girls abducted alongside with her, reportedly had her second baby late last year.
Leah who was 14 years old when she was kidnapped in 2018 has been held hostage by Boko Haram insurgents, despite calls by so many persons and groups for her release.
The Federal Executive Council recently approved more universities, and established more Polytechnics and Colleges of Education while Tesla, Apple, Google, Netflix and some multinationals announced that effective 2021, university degree will not be required for hiring.
Google is also developing a new suit called Google career certificates which is intended to help young people get qualifications and skills for high paying jobs without university degree. The suits is tailored for the millennials to learn in-demand skills online in 6 months and will be globally recognized as equivalent of a traditional university degree. The question is, in the next 15 years, will certificates be required for most jobs of the century?
2.0 ARE CERTIFICATES OVERRATED IN NIGERIA? University degree is highly overrated in Nigeria and I have resolved that I will make attending university optional for my children. I will rather counsel them to acquire globally in-demand skills and certifications.
Anyone that wants to panticipate in global jobs of the future must learn computing skills, data analysis and fluency in at least 2 international languages. High paying jobs will likely be in cybersecurity, business development and sales, robotics, computing and programming, data analysis, automobile, creative arts, football, tennis, basketball and similar skills.
For young Nigerian entrepreneurs that want to have a startup, there will be future opportunities in logistics, food value chain, blockchain technology, Fintech, tourism and hospitality, transport and clothing.
3.0 WHAT SHOULD NIGERIA DO? Our university curriculum is obsolete, we teach no skills and the laboratories are 19th century. You can’t use 19th century solution to solve 21st century problems.
The world is a global village and we must follow the global trend to be global citizens. We must also change our curriculum and improve teaching of computer skills in the universities.
Today’s children are born with their devices and more sophisticated than the previous generations. I advise our millennials to work ahead of our curriculum and prepare themselves to be global citizens, shikenan. He that has ear to hear, let him listen to the future.
THE MAN BEHIND THE MASK IN THE OZIZZA PONTOON SAGA
AJM NEWS Monday, 8 March, 2021
Recently, there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the purported sale of the pontoon at the Ozizza Beach in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. This piece of asset was procured by the then Imo State Government to facilitate the trading activities between the people of Afikpo and their neighbouring Cross River communities. Since the breakdown of this valuable asset, the people of Ozizza have clamoured for its repair over the years only to hear that the Ebonyi State Government has sold it to some preferred bidder. This news has generated a lot of unrest within the community with suspicions and distrust being expressed against elected officials and Government appointees that are being fingered as co-conspirators in this scandalous affair.
However, following some investigative journalism it has become evident that the man behind the mask is no other than the Chief custodian of the State himself using proxies that are fast getting swallowed up in the unfolding imbroglio. It leaves us wondering at the cost of loyalty which has become the bane of the member representing Afikpo North West in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Kingsley Ikoro. His recent near arraignment at the Village Square at Ozizza to explain his role in the pontoon saga painted a pitiable image whose only exoneration was the assessment of his unlimited sacrifice and service to his people. But the question remains “When will Ikoro learn to become his own man?”. This young achiever has spent the last 6 years of his political career in the shadows of Engr David Umahi in different capacities. This might have cost him a lot of goodwill and we wait with bated breath on the outcome of this romance.
The near Son-Father relationship between Hon. Kingsley Ikoro and the Governor is a lesson in politics that remains untold. While most of his kinsmen in Afikpo refused to defect with the Governor to the APC, Ikoro followed in blind loyalty. His trust and belief in the leadership of the Governor might prove to be his political albatross. Nothing can be weightier than the accusation of involvement in the illicit sale of an asset that has been awaiting attention over the years. We hope the Honourable member will find his voice and explain his role in this transaction. While it has become clearer that proxies are involved, we will continue to monitor the turn of events and encourage the vigilance of the people to frustrate this daylight heist.
With 2023 elections fast approaching, new alliances will be formed, and high wire politics will be played given the seeming balance of force between the APC and the PDP in the State. Honourable Ikoro is a key player to watch but first, he must reevaluate the political value of the toga of Umahi Loyalist which he has proudly worn over the years.

VICE-PRESIDENT OSIBANJO ADMONISHES PENTECOSTAL FELLOWSHIP OF NIGERIA (PFN), AS BISHOP WOLE OKE TAKES OVER AS THE NEW PRESIDENT OF THE ORGANIZATION
{…Conveys President Buhari’s Congratulatory Message To Outgoing PFN President }
AJM NEWS
At a defining moment in the history of the country, the church must stand as the light of the nation, and Christians as the purveyors of justice and voices of peace, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.
Prof. Osinbajo gave the admonition yesterday at the 16th Biennial Delegate Conference of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) held at the Michael Okpara Square in Enugu, Enugu State.
Speaking on the theme of the conference “the unquenchable light”, Prof. Osinbajo said “we must bear this gospel of Jesus Christ knowing that it is the beacon of hope and succour for our nation. As bearers of the gospel we are the reconcilers-in-chief.”
According to the Vice President, “we are the salt to the wounds of a nation, we are the voices of peace and unity where division and strife have arisen. We are the purveyors of justice, for all of those who are disempowered. The good news is that this light is unquenchable.”
Explaining the point, the Vice President said “what is this light? It is the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the son of God, who came to this world to pay the price for our sins so that we can attain eternal life in peace and joy. This gospel is the power of God for the healing and transformation of men and nations.”
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. It is the Wisdom of God,” Prof. Osinbajo added quoting the Scriptures.
The Vice President had earlier conveyed the felicitations of President Muhammadu Buhari to the outgoing PFN President, Revd Felix Omobude on the successful and glorious completion of his tenure in office and congratulated the incoming President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke.
Prof. Osinbajo also thanked the out-going President, Rev. Omobude for his invaluable service to the PFN especially in the manner he handled the affairs of the body “with impeccable integrity, fatherly understanding, maturity and Godly insight.”
On the stewardship of the outgoing PFN leadership, Prof. Osinbajo said “under your able leadership and in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria led by our brother, Rev. Dr. Supo Ayokunle, I received several solidarity visits. I am eternally indebted to you for those visits which greatly strengthened and encouraged me.”
Commending the smooth transition in the leadership of the PFN, Prof. Osinbajo said “I must commend the smooth electoral process leading to the emergence of the President and his deputy unopposed.”
“This is as it should be. The PFN certainly has a lot to teach us, politicians. We pray that the Lord will give this executive good success in Jesus name,” he said.
In acknowledgment of his stand and support for the Christian faith and exemplary service to humanity, the PFN conferred on the Vice President a special award of the Defender of Faith.
Accepting the award, the Vice President thanked the PFN for the recognition, noting that “there can be no more coveted preferment than that conferred by one’s brethren,” and adding in prayer that “you all will receive not just honour from men here on earth but in the end also from the Lord God Almighty, in Jesus name.”
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State also received the PFN award of the Defender of Faith at the event.
Aside Bishop Wole Oke who was elected as PFN President, Archbishop John Praise Daniel, the Presiding Archbishop of the Dominion Chapel International Churches was also elected Vice President.
DR. KALU FROWNS AT ADEYEMI’S COMMENT ON IKPEAZU, DEMANDS AN OPEN APOLOGY
AJM NEWS
A PDP Chieftain and National Coordinator of people’s Democratic Party Coalition, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, has frowned at the recent vituperative outburst of Senator Smart Adeyemi of Kogi state against Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu on the floor of the Senate.
In a statement he signed and made available to the press from the US, the one-time governorship aspirant in Abia State questioned why a supposed law-maker could descend as low as using insulting words to describe a sitting Governor who has performed exceptionally well in the business of giving the best leadership to his people.
“I have heard many ignorant ones argue that Senator Abaribe made some negative comments about Yahaya Bello and that Adeyemi was reacting, I have had the privilege of watching the two videos and I assure you that what Abaribe said was a statement of facts premised on the truth about Bello, yet he never sounded derogatory over the matter that was on the floor on the day which was over insecurity in Kogi State.
“Compare is with the unguarded and unethical comments of Senator Adeyemi that have no bearing and understand that what Dino Melaye said about Adeyemi is not far from the truth.
“But for the avoidance of doubt without apology to anyone, Adeyemi should have understood that a man that lives in glasshouse does not throw stones because when it comes to insecurity, nay, drunkenness, Nigerians know the scores of every governor and every state according to their antecedents and quality of leadership.
“It is so insensitive, therefore, for a man that has a bone to pick with leadership should begin to judge another who is miles away from him in all ramifications.
“It insulted on Abians to call our governor ” Champagne Drinking man” when after 6 years, Ikpeazu has continued to live up to his constitutional duties by protecting, security, defending, and progressing Abia in all aspect that cannot be placed at per with his state. We demand an apology” he said.
He finally called on the Senate to compel Senator Adeyemi to offer a national apology to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the entire people of Abia State.

The lawyer, who said that Kuje Correctional Centre where Maina was kept did not have the facility to attend to his state of health, said if not granted bail, his kneel might be amputated.
FANI KAYODE SAYS NNAMDI KANU IS A MAN OF HIS WORDS, AS HE ASKS NIGERIA TO NEGOTIATE WITH KANU OVER HIS RECENT WARNING TO ADOPT OTHER OPTION IN ACTUALIZING BIAFRA
AJM NEWS
The former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has asked the Nigerian Government led by Mohammadu Buhari, to give heed to the recent warning made by the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in which he said he would adopt another option in his struggle to actualize the sovereign state of Biafra as the issue of referendum is not in sight.
Fani-Kayode who made this call on his Twitter handle, said Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a man of his words; he therefore urged the federal government to make haste and lift the prescription order placed on IPOB and negotiate with Kanu before it would be too late, adding that the west and northern parts of the country are already facing serious crisis, which if allowed to extend to the east would bring serious doom to Nigeria.
In his tweets, he said:
This is a chilling and sinister warning. I know @MaziNnamdiKanu well & he does not speak lightly or make empty threats. I advise @MBuhari to take his words seriously. The North is on fire & the West is on the boil. If the East ignites with an armed struggle Nigeria is doomed.
I call on the FG to deproscribe IPOB and enter into negotiations with its leader @MaziNnamdiKanu before it is too late. We must avoid war at all costs & BUILD A BRIDGE of peace, unity & love. Anything less is the road to Kigali & a very long, bloody & frightful 2nd civil war.
Below Is Nnamdi Kanu’s Warning To Nigerian Government On Twitter::
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu @MaziNnamdiKanu Our demand for a #referendum is now drawing closer to the point of moving on to urgent considerations of other options to restore #Biafra. Our people are ready. We’ve the means & wherewithal. What remains is the hour – the hour of reclaiming our manifest destiny, unilaterally.
IKUKU OMA EXTENDS HAND OF FELLOWSHIP TO AFIKPO JOKWA/AJM NEWS TEAM, Encourages The Team To Keep On With The Good Works They Are Doing!
The Distinguished Honourable Representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency At The House Of Representatives, Comrade Chinedu Ogah Also Noted He Does Not Discriminate, When It Comes To Rendering Assistance And Touching People’s Lives.
He Said: “I Love Seeing People Happy, More Especially When I See Those That I Assisted Living Fine.
“It Doesn’t Matter The Location Or Town You’re Coming From, As Far As I Have The Ability To Help You, I Do It; And It Gives Me Joy, It Makes Me Feel Fulfilled.
“I’ve Secured Federal Appointments For Some Persons From My Constituency And Beyond, Including Afikpo, Just To Make Sure They Have Something Doing”.
“You Are Free To Verify What I’ve Just Told You; You Can Contact Any Of Those That Got The Appointment To Know If It’s Real”, He Added.
From all indications, Hon. Chinedu Ogah who is also the last man to join his colleagues at the Green Chamber barely one year ago, has performed better than several other House of Rep members and Senators from Ebonyi State who were in the National Assembly before him; and by so doing has proved to the electorate that the representatives can do well if only they mean well for those that elected them, by eschewing selfishness, and taking a strong decision to serve.
Who knew before the coming of Hon. Ogah that a lawmaker could attract and share federal appointments to his constituents and beyond, as if he’s sharing biscuits to children?
Who knew that a member of the National Assembly could restore electricity to a town that had been in darkness for years, just within one month he assumed office, if not Hon. Ogah?
Indeed, Hon. Ogah has truly set the pace for others to follow.
The good people of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, and Indeed Ebonyi State are lucky to have Comrade Ogah as a member of the National Assembly.
